The old way of living started when I moved from Texas to Colorado.   I didn’t fully understand why I needed to leave. I just knew there was a strong internal pull—a sense that staying meant continuing a life that no longer fit. What I understand now is that I had been in survival mode for far too long, and distance felt like the only way to interrupt it.
